So, save for the fact that no medals are mine to claim during commencement, i'm pretty happy with my life this summer. Especially, these 2 weeks. Though, last week was pretty rough, in accepting that the boy will be leaving for london, for real, in September.
Otherwise, i'm happy with top class honors, great catch-ups with friends and meeting random celebrities. Like, patrick tse at Zara at Scotts. He was dressed in black spandex, patent crocodile shoes, hair sleekly gelled back into his trademark pony tail. And, signature sunglasses although it was 8pm at night. If you ask me, attracting more attention than otherwise. Well, as usual, Singaporeans don't care much for celebrities and other than me saying "Eh, that looks like Patrick Tse in front of us." really loudly, he was unfazed and unbothered. Keeping it just the way we like it.
I also met someone else at Zara, a certain kmz! on a date! Ooh. Focusing some attention on my reason for visiting the spanish label, it was to buy something special for the boy as my gift to him this anniversary. I finally found something lightweight and perfect for fall. In the classic style I adore. Mmmm Comfy.
The boy loves the idea of vow-writing. It is so anniversary loving.
Trying to enjoy what will be about 2 weeks more of summer before starting on the Campus Training Sessions for 2 months while studying for CFA. I think time ahead will be no less trying than it was in universtiy but I have to get through this for greater things to come my way. Give me tenacity and clarity of mind to lead a balanced life, studying/working/dealing with the boy miles away. I am thankful for good friends who I know will always be there for me. You know who you are. And, happy that christine and juliet will be in Singapore permanently to rant/eat indian rojak/roti john together.
Yesterday's Sdub gathering came full circle when Mr Benzie Dio (GP cum Drama teacher-in-charge) came to the same japanese restaurant as us in Cuppage Plaza with his beautiful wife for dinner. Conversation:
Ash: Hey, Clare, isn't that Benzie Dio?
Me: Oh ya!
Becky: Who? Really? Are you serious?
Benzie: (Turns around) Haha, yeah, serious! Now, just go on eat your dinner and pretend you didn't see me!
Me: And, still super cool!
So, 3 years out of NJC, we finally meet his stunning wife who dresses him way to cool for school(white leather shoes included). Wooh!
The last of my travels will see me take flight to the City of the Ascending Dragon for old french world charm admist whizzing street cyclos. In typical Asian chaocity. :-)
